Anke Classen

Of Dutch origin, I received my training at the Graduate School of Arts, now "ArtEZ" in Arnhem (the Netherlands).

In 1979 I moved to the south-west of France, where I have been working since as a painter-illustrator-creative in different fields:

- artshows, illustrations, book covers, murals

- product-designer (and co-manager in a wholesale business) in natural decorative objects and materials.

- design, installation and styling of exhibition stands, mainly for “Maison et Objet” in Paris.

- various activities in interior decoration

Since 2006 I exclusively work as a painter.

Mainly figurative, my work is exploring forms of visual rythmics by colour, settings, patterns or structures.
